i want to lay a driveway in blocks, the driveway slopes down for the house to the road

do i start laying from the house or from the road
any advise would be great

Always lay uphill, but transfer a base line from the house to act as your alignment guide. The blocks should be square to the building NOT to the threshold with the public highway.
