I've scoured the site, but cant seem to find what I am after. What's the best method of block paving edging when there is a fence at the side of the drive? Its a normal concrete post + concrete base panels, then wooden fence panels on top.

I've seen a few drives where they have blocked right up to and touch the base panels and I assume they just put 50mm concrete underneath, but others have kept 200mm away and I assume haunched it and then put decorate gravel on top.

advice appreciated!

It looks neater if its blocked right up to the gravel boards and posts

thanks lutonlagerlout, I assume the posts and base panels are strong enough to act as the edge restraint?

as long as the fence is nice and straight, or it will stick out like a sore thumb!
