Hi folks - first post here. First of all big thanks to the website - seems to be by far the best place online for such info.

Couple of queries I do have are relating to monoblock I only had laid in December last year.

Was wondering how often I should go about re-sanding this? Also, should it be re-sanded after each (careful) wash?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

Basically if the joint is devoid of sand, then it needs re-jointing.
After a careful wash it may need re-jointing, depends on how "careful" you were.
If you want to make sure just brush sand over the paving anyway, can't hurt.

Usually after a period of time the joints pretty much self seal themselves with dust, dirt etc. so don't fret too much.

Thanks! For cleaning monoblock, is it a total no-no for using a power hose or should this only be used when planning on re-jointing?

Just power hose when needing a clean. If only installed in December, shouldn't need cleaning till spring 2017.:)

Thanks!! So only really needs done annually?

Is there any use in between the powerhose cleans, giving it a quick clean with a brush, water and washing up liquid or not really necessary if doing it annually with a powerhose?

Try not to let any crap build up on it, dead leaves etc.
