I am currently completing a block paving job, I have laid the blocks on a 40 mm bed a pre compacted sand one pass over with a big wacker prior to laying the blocks, I got all the blocks down in dry weather, a night of rain prior to sanding and compacting I hired a roofing torch and managed to dry the majority of the blocks to sand but first pass of the wacker and water was been pushed up, so I've left it but we have now had 3 days of rain and I can see water between the blocks, obviously I need to wait for it to dry to continue but this could be two weeks a month who knows in this weather, will it be ok for a month or two with foot traffic?

Think you will have to leave it now till it drys up. I have put the kiln dry sand in with water as in slurry. I am no expert but some with more knowledge than me will be along soon.

nothing you can do now fella
if you wack the water/sand will just push up again
couple of dry days lined up so you might get a chance

luckily the mess can be swept or hosed off eventually
