Hi!
I am poor but want a new drive!
My brick style concrete pavers (inherited with my house) are a grim variety of reds and pinks and put a big old dent in my house's kerb appeal
I looked online and found this product in the UK (seems the Americans have a lot more products)

Does anyone have any experience with this or another block paver stain? Jus to be clear, I am NOT advocating it, I have never used it, it could be turd!
I'm after a hazelnut brown colour. (Sort of turd coloured!). I'm told (by the company that sells it) that it should give an even colour after two coats.
I would love a resin bound drive with new borders but until I find that buried treasure/ pay off my mortgage, I'm looking for a cheap but decent alternative!

I have heard good and bad things about paver tints, but it would be unprofessional of me to comment (I would be interested on what Tony has to say on the subject?). Suffice to say that we are the largest paving sealer/stabiliser producer in Europe and we have decided not to include one in our range.
Notwithstanding have you simply had a look at the paving after rainfall (or simply after running a hose over it) because you will find this simply act, alters the Delta E value and in doing so harmonises colours/imperfections considerably.
If that does the trick then all you need to do is seal the pavers with Resiblock 22 (I would say that wouldn't I!) and you will have this effect permanently

I feel what you are trying to do won't work, staining the blocks.
I haven't looked at the product you have put a link up for but I can bet it will be for PIC, so again this won't work on your blocks as staining concrete that is white in colour to start with is fine but you have a different base as in pink & red blocks/pavers. If I was you I'd get the paving professionally cleaned so you get rid of any marks, stain, dirt etc. Then after re-sanding I'd go for Resiblock Superior Natural Matt so you get a flat pretty much non-sheen finish it will also deepen the colour slightly of the blocks you have. The other thing with these concrete tints, is they will fade over time as the top coat (sealer) is nearly always an acrylic which IMO are completely crap as they wear, peel etc.

what a coincidence ,mr resiblock recommends resiblock and roger recommends pressure washing
just waiting for mickg to recommend a new drive and cookie to recommend setts :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
joking aside never seen it done here and that is not a good sign
rogers solution is almost certainly the best and for maybe £300 you could add a bit of appeal to your driveway

Thanks for your great advice! I does look a bit better after rain. A previous attempt at pressure washing it myself with a Karcher patio cleaner followed by Thompson seal did nothing much for it, plus an inept attempt to sand the thing, guess it's time to call in the professionals. And keep saving for a lovely resin drive!

You've put that crap sealer on the drive already?
