Good Morning
We are undertaking quite a large landscaping job at our house which includes new block paving, new patio slabs, fencing and new turf.
The photos on the links attached show the completed driveway, according to the workers all they need to do is put some more pavior sand on the top.
Anyway, my concern is with the edgings, especially on the ones bordering the pavement which are not level and I think they should be.
We have queried this with the landscaper and in his own words: "they have to take that shape to follow the dropped kerb, they also have to have a slight fall for better drainage."
I can kind of see what he means, the pavement does angle slightly but there just seems too much of a rise there to me.
Also a passer by commented to us over the weekend that he used to do this work for a living and unfortunately has to advise us that in his opinion it looks a really bad job.
I don't know this chap from Adam but when you are told something like that it doesn't exactly help you feel confident.
I am therefore very confused by this, I don't really know what to think.
Would someone be able to take a look at the links below showing five photographs and give me an honest opinion please.
Thank you very much.
(I have attached a direct link to my public flickr profile, the landscaping photos are the first ones on there. I don't think I can attach photos directly to this forum post.)

a very poor cutting in,
lots of the cuts are too small less than a 1/3 block,
the paving is lower than the kerbs and will only go lower once compacted,
there is no edge course detail such as a header course of blocks
the passer by was correct in saying what he said
cutting in detail how to do
read this and show him, I would suggest no payment until he changes it and make it correct
