I'm currently searching for a new compaction plate. Trying to find info on what weight the compaction force will hold is difficult. For example if I lay a 60mm block paved driveway on a 40mm screed with a minimum of 150mm mot type 1 sub base which is all compacted with a 16.5kn force at 92hz what weight could I expect the driveway safely hold? Wacking the sub base every couple of inches to maximise compaction.

Is that with a sound sub grade ? Some people dig out the required depth to sub base level without a thought for the sub grade, or possible inclusion of geo membrane. Your spec sounds good enough for anything a domestic driveway will need to take. Compact in 75ml layers to refusal.

rabuckin your spec is fine for family cars etc
think the spec is for around 3 tonnes max
I know this myself as I park my pickup sometimes fully loaded 4+tonnes on the same spec and it has left a slight indent on my own drive!!
if you are thinking anything commercial go for bigger blocks
