hi

my mums recently had her driveway block paved with the tegula style block paving, it was layed properly with appropriate subase and sand. she's about to have some pebble dashing done and the plasterer wants a 4 yard skip put on the drive which will be filled with old render. does anyone know if the drive will be able to take this without any sinking etc?

any advice appreciated, thanks ib advance

No guarantees it will hold up butit should do. Render is a messy game and should be done before the drive.

My advice would be to sheet the whole drive with heavy duty polithene, lay 8x4 sheets of ply down where the skip is going down then place 3 scaffold planks down as bearers to spread the weight.

The reason for the ply board is that it is easier to clean up anything that misses the skip. The polythene will tear.

hi

thanks for the advice, the drive is well away from where the rendering will be done and i've told him no knocking up on the drive, it's the weight that's the issue, so i'll pass on your advice, thanks again. :)
