they look like cobbletech but if its been laid for 10 years then I have no idea

marshall rialto, was around in 1995 ish, the big joint was filled with limstone dust/chips thats my idea anyway, i had pics once but cant find em now MSH

Marshalls purchased the Belgian company that manufactured what we know as "Cobbletech".
I believe these were possibly on the continental market long before they reached our shores.
Maybe try a couple of cobbletech samples against them and see if the profile matches.

They're not Rialto nor it's commercial form, which was Altiro (can you see what they did there?).
It'll bug me for the rest of the morning, but they had a stupid name and something is telling me they were a Stonemarket product. I'll riffle through the back catlogues when I have me dinner.....

Look at the square base, surely they are a predecessor of cobbletech and must be best bet if you are trying to match.

which has vanished into the ether

Renaissance - that's what they were called, but looking at them now, in the 2007 Stonemarket brochure from back in the day when there was very little stone in their repetoire and they were still heavily focused on wet-cast, they look slightly different to what we're seeing in the image above. They even made the front cover that year, but never really sold well and so they were 'disappeared' shortly after.
The big problem with them, as I recall, was the jointing, and it's uncanny how Cobblyteck has risen, phoenix-like from the ashes now that resin technology has advanced sufficiently to give us a flexible-ish mortar.

they look identical to cobbletech and the lady assures me it was done in 2003
thing is she wants a guaranteed pointing method to replace the geo-shhh and no manufacturer will offer even a 10 year guarantee on its product
i cant guarantee it because i didnt lay the bloomin things!

I know they aren't Raemnaissance - the bases are different, but it was Renaissance I had in mind.
There was another one around that time, but I cannot recall a single thing about them, other than they were ugly. Given that the brochures for CBPs alone take up at least a couple of metres of my library shelving, I can't see me finding the time to root through them all to find the answer.
And a 10 year guarantee? Funny you should mention it but I was talking to a Flemish mortar manufacturer earlier to day and he wants to put a product on the British market offering just that - 10 years warranty as long as installation was done correctly. Note that proviso - that's where I reckon the loophole will be!

Tony see my post above. Cobbletech have been manufactured in Belgium for how many years before Marshalls bought them I don't know.
Maybe some how Lll's customer acquired them. Also people's memories are sometimes vague or convenient when it comes to the past 10 years maybe 5.
Lll, maybe Marshalls cobbletech jointing compound would be the best bet. It generally comes with the cobbletech paving so not sure if they sell it as a stand alone product.
A tub covers about 5m2.
Good luck with your customer.
