Hi hawk I suppose it depends how far you are down the food chain meaning as an example last year the firm I work for did all the groundwork for Laing o rourkes on a site and the lads who subbed to our firm were getting 7 pound a metre square . That included all edgings in and stoned up and all frames and gullies set to correct height . Basically they were fourth on the food chain and getting seven quid a square straight lay . Hope this helps

that sounds about right chris
I keep hearing appalling rates off big boys so dont bother with them
Hawk if you have to screed sand and lay I would expect a 2 man team to do around 50 M 2 a day so £7 per/m sounds in the ball park

if all the stone and edgings etc are in to levels ,thats the bulk of the work done dan
screed and lay 50+M per day is easily attainable,i guess some on here could do 100m

50 metres a day by 2 people =£350 which is £175 per person a day.
I'm not in the trade so I wouldn't know but isn't that a good days money?
