Hi,

I am currently laying block paving on my driveway. I have laid the sub-base and compacted it but in certain areas the level is lower than the advised 100mm thus causing the bedding sand to be deeper in these areas (upto 80mm in some areas). Will this matter?

Thanks very much in advance of any help you can offer.

Cheers
Rob

Yes, fill the low spots with more type 1 and compact if these area's continue to sink use terram under the base.
God loves a tryer

I aim for 35mm bedding sand under CBP
80 mm is wildly too much and it will cause differential sinking
^^ add more type 1 and recompact
