I want to construct a garden path about 35m long using Marshals Ashbourne Red Muti, clay cobble setts, with an edging of Tegula Deco block paving.Never used cobbles before but really like the look of them !.The path is a continuous curve, so I think these would be ideal to use.
I plan to use a hardcore base of 'Crusher Run', 50mm deep.Cement the edging on to this next , then infill with sharp sand about 90mm deep, putting the cobbles on top of the sand, about 14 cobbles wide.Does this seem reasonable ?.
I also want to get the best price for purchasing the Marshalls cobbles/edging as I need rather a lot !, but don't seem to be able to find a building merchant that has these near me ?.Can anyone recommend a good reasonably priced source near to Lyme Regis in Dorset ?.
