found this on tinternet great for working out area of any weird shape just measure perimeter sketch it and bam you got your area.

its easy but the scale thing and clear canvas doesnt work
needs a little bit of tweaking

seems to work for me. there's supposed to be a new version out soon allowing you to draw freehand curves and some other tweaks
maybe that one will be better.
