I'm laying Tegula Drivesett paving on granite stonedust over a 240m2 area, I've been using 50mm scaffold poles to screed out the stonedust which is working fine. I'm half way through and noticed the height of the edging has gone up to about 110mm ( the paving being 50mm) I appreciate its not ideal to have a bedding layer of 60mm but if I use a plate vibrator and give it 2 or 3 passes to compact it, would this be adequate?

Many thanks

No - you need to regulate your sub-base.

Your laying course shouldn't be moree than 40mm. You can get away with 50, but 60mm is asking for problems with settlement in the medium-long term.
