Paving on concrete - Paving on concrete

Hi all
i have an existing concrete path leading down to my house.
its in good nic and i was wondering if its ok to pave on top of it using a dry sand/cem screed.

i plan to concrete the edges into give some height for the screed.

any advice will be appreciated

If it's just a path the concrete base will be fine to pave over and there's no need to add cement to the sand as long as it's fully retained on all sides.
