I am going to lay a new block paving drive, I'm putting down a sub-base of 150mm MOT on top of a geofabric but I'm worried about weeds. The whole plot is riddled with mares tails and I don't want them coming up through my blockwork - they are showing through the existing tarmac drive. Anyone any suggestions? Is there anything I can put down - weed killer or something?

Grateful for any help. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Ken. I did a search before I posted, but obviously not a very good one! I'll follow up on the link.

We've got a bad mares tail problem, or I should say we did until we used Kurtail. Every weed is dead and gone and it hasn't come back since I sprayed it a month ago. So far so good. I'd recommend it to anyone.

thanks for the helpful replies. As you suggested Ken, having trouble getting hold of Agritox 50 so going to try Kurtail which I can source.

thanks once again - what a great website and can I say how helpful you all are - restores ones (bit posh that) faith in human nature.
