Hello,
I've dug out 200mm for my patio but with all the rain the ground is very soft, feet sink in it.
Is it still ok to fill with scalpings or do I need to leave till it drys up?
Cheers all

Wait until it dries, could be a bit of a wait!

few options, dig more out to good ground and fill up in layers,
dig out fill with oversize stone, then top of with 100mm type 1
use soil stabilisation methods incorporating cement/lime into the clay to stiffen it.
allu have a system for mixing and injecting it, albeit its gonna be way out your price bracket for a patio but stuck it in here hehe
