Sorry if covered elsewhere but I couldn't find it. I am looking to replace gravelled front garden with 60mm block paving. I think its 10mm pea gravel approx 50mm deep. Can I use some or all of this as sub base with say 100mm type 1 compacted on top. Obviously will need to dig out 200mm of soil beneath gravel (type 1 plus 40mm sharp sand plus blocks). Would this work or am I being lazy? Paving will need to stand a car on it. Cheers

Cant use any of it. Pea gravel is round, like peas. It doesn't lock together, it moves.

Dig it off and stockpile it nearby and mix it in with the fresh subase?
