got a drawing today to price up
a fair size drive in gravel with paths 1200 wide of baggeridge block pavers
the designer has shown all these in running bond==> fair enough
but some of her radii look very tight to me
off the top of your head can anyone remember what the minimum radius is for block paving to turn in stretcher bond without looking like a 3 bob bit
i am thinking at least 2.5m
thanks in advance

if laid running bond at a radius of 1500 you end up with gaps of around 20 mm so a radius of 2.5m is likely to give you a gap of nearer 10-12mm i would think?
it always easy for someone to draw a nice pretty picture with plenty of curves without thinking of the practicalities of actually building it!

cheers peg my thoughts exactly
it looks good on the drawing ,but in reality it will look naff if its too tight
they do have some small brick paths at the rear laid with mortar joints, but that turns the job into a whole new ballgame

its partially for wheelchair use so setts might not be right
plus cost is a big factor
aint it always?
