We have a new patio with a low boundary wall made from upstanding blocks. Where the wall curves there are narrow wedge gaps between touching blocks. The paving installer advises that these are too narrow to grout and that grouting would probably drop out over time. The biggest gaps are probably only a few mm but are noticeable. Do we just live with the small gaps or is there some way of getting a good grouting solution?

Thanks

What do you mean by upstanding blocks?. If the wall is meant to be unpointed then pointing bits of it will look worse than it does now.

3 options

1 leave it
2 mask up each side of the face with gaffer tape and fill with mortar
3 mask up each side of the face and fill with a suitable mastic

really he should have buttered the face of those kerbs when he installed them but i dont know what was agreed between you

He means cut the blocks so they sit together properly rather than having big gaps, that single soldier course has the biggest gaps though!!

You can get radius edgers so not sure why they didn't use them,

radius ks and kl kerbs are a lot tighter than that giles
think they suit about a 900 mm radius
now that it is in situ only retroactive solutions will work
