Hi,

i have finaly excavated my drive and have my wall built now.

I am now in the process of sorting my aco drain/ soakaway and type 1 out.

I have 1 problem> my drive will slope towards the house (which i knew) but i intended to have the drive level from left to right. However i have now found my dampcourse and airbricks at the front of the house are not so if i have a level drive it wont look right.

If i do it to look level with the damp corse and air vents i am worried the water will not drain forward but flow to one side?

What do you suggest- to do it level where it will look a bit odd, or do it slightly unlevel? Will the water run off be a problem? I am putting a aco drain along the front of the house.

cheers

What blocks are you laying for your driveway? That will affect the gradient that you need.
Have a look at this page:

Having it drain correctly is more important than having it look parallel to your airblocks.

dpc not level ???
Is it because it's stepped, or sloping?
