Hi i am part way through laying my new drive along with a footpath around my garden and i have followed your fantastic guides as closely as i can.
However due to a slope in my garden i have noticed that my footpath in parts will have a deeper level of wacked down sand than other parts, it will only have light foot traffic on it and i want to know if this is a issue or not.
Will it mean that when i come to finally whacker plate down the blocks that those under the deeper sand will wack down lower than those under the shallower sand.
Oh and even at its shallowest the sand is 40mm deep after wacking as per the diagram on the site:

Essentially i am asking how important it is that the sand be the exact same depth all over the area being block paved.
