A client wants their drive block paving, there is a BT Manhole cover slap bang in the middle of the project. 1000mm x 530mm, does anyone know the protocol for these?, can u get recessed covers for them?, do we need to inform BT? It's a first for us...

No recess covers in that size - perhaps a 600x600 recessed cover would suffice? I wouldn't be overly concerned at replacing the cover.

they do but i'm not sure of the loading on a drive.

i would use a 600x600 and make it fit using 2mm thick metal strips/plates, dont tell BT,i did one a few weeks ago and made a 600x450 lid work, corbeled brickwork over to narrow it down

you can get reccess manhole covers in most sizes .esp bt , you just wont get them from your local builders merchant

the one you want is a 3 tray reccess cover . we use them on street masonrey projects . they have to be ordered from manufacturers
