Hey, new to site...Just had a new driveway laid with Brett 50mm Brindle blocks on 45 degree herringbone layout? not finished on edges yet and will be soon. Got some questions which i was hoping some expert can help me out with???

After some rain I realised some blocks are still wet/damp then others and the strange thing is it runs in lines bit look a football pitch with some grass lighter then others! It looks strange. Then i realised there are 2 different batch no on the bricks supplied and maybe it has been laid with 2 different batch no of the same brick from same supplier and this is the problem?? is there anyone out there that can ease my mind....Thanks in advance.

all of the blocks will dry out naturally in a uniform manner given time. dont worry this is normal for concrete products.

Thanks Rab1 for the prompt reply. It just looked weird on why other blocks where dry and in a pattern. So i take it the batch no from bretts has got no significance on this matter?? also is 50mm ok for driveway although i was promised 60 mm from the paver!! is there any tips you can give me to look out for if someone is cutting corners... Thx

dont worry about the batch no part and 50mm blocks are fine for a domestic driveway.

read the main site regarding any concerns you have over the install methods used by your contractor.
