Hi

My local hire company has two types of whacker, either light (32kg) or medium (90kg). Am I right in saying that I'm wasting my time getting the 32KG machine to bed in the block paving after laying them and it has to be the 90kg machine?

Thanks.

the light one would be ok for running over them to consolidate the sand but you want the heavy one for the sub base

Thanks LLL.

I've put down some of the sub-base and used MOT Type 1 for the first time. It doesn't seem to bind together as well as Hoggin, which I've used previously. I've been using a punnel, perhaps I need to 'punnel' some more or wait until I get the whacker.
