Hi Everyone,

A bit off topic but I hope someone has some guidance. I have some cracks in a garden wall, not supporting in any way. The more I read the more confused I've got - What's best to prep & fill them?

Just rough it up, wet it, remove anything loose then a sort of mortar mix - 3 to 1?

Cheers,
Alex.

A photo would help. If it is poured concrete you will need to chase out the cracks, clean them with a wire brush and wash the joint out and repair.

Ok. I'll get a photo on - I guess the repair technique is dependant on the crack? Before the the pic arrives, they are max 10mm wide, probably a bit deeper than that. Cheers.

Ok, I can't attach an image and have no server space anywhere. I'll have to describe it. It's actually not as big as I thought 5mm max but has cracked through the wall so it's deep. the wall is breeze blocks then rendered in something that looks like concrete / mortar
