I am presently having a large driveway block paved with Beta Silver Haze blocks (from Bretts). So far it does look good, although lighter than I originally thought it would be. My contractor wants to put a sealant down as soon as he is finished. According to the Brett website it recommends waiting 12 to 18 months before doing this. My worry is that if I don't have it sealed now it will show up every little mark, stain etc but if I do then I go against supplier recommendation. My contractor, who is very good, says the 12 month wait is not necessary. I have also heard that some sealants can cause the bricks to go yellow. Some advice would be really appreciated, especially if anyone has experience of the same type of block? My contractor has not laid this type and colour of bricks in such a large area before. Many thanks
