can anyone help, in the near future we are resurfacing the d rive probably block paving the drive is sloping about 20 deg when you park the car you have to leave in gear and put hand brake on good and proper, can the drive have a ramp or small hollow gulley across to help stop the car rolling down if you forget to leave it in gear

you could have a bump stop but you'd have to drive over it every time straining your clutch on the way up.

The usual solution is to have a check strip running across the drive on the downhill side of the front and/or rear wheels.
I've seen this done, somewhat clumsily, by inserting a course of 80mm pavers into the 50/60mm body pavers, but a more elegant solution is to use Keycheck pavers from Marshalls....

....or a dished channel paver summat like....
Of the two, the Keycheck is more effective. and you only need a single course, not the double-bump effect shown above.

I think I mentioned it before but in the usa every car parking space actually has a wheel stop sticking up from the road ahead of the kerb,it seems like such a good idea for fail drivers like me but i have never seen it anywhere else??

new big yellow storage just been built in sheffield, my stuffs in there for a month
