Does anyone know if any of the large suppliers supply sample blocks with the full face left but trimmed to about 10mm so it could be stuck on a board...

Tried with the stidl saw but looks a mess

only one I know of is Marshalls but you have to purchase the sample boards, I asked Plaspave a couple of years ago and they don't have sample boards so I got a large presenter off them instead which has the block paving photos laminated with photo showing the blocks the actual size, a nice bit of kit actually

only other way is to hire a clipper bench saw and make a timber jig to hold the block 10mm from the blade so you don't loose your fingers :D

Most of the reps have them for their own use, but as the slips are produced one at a time by some poor sod in the manufacturer's yard, they tend not to give them out to contractors. Some of the clay paver manufacturers provide them - can't recall exactly who and I'm not going out to the shed to dig them out in this weather!

I used to make up my own when I was running the driveway business. Much better than running around with full blocks.

we get them for bricks for houses from supplier or manufacturers rep but they always come pick them up, we also this time got free sample boxes of hanson with about 15 bricks in each box 7 different styles so we could knock up little walls for the planners and the style consultants to pick which brick they liked (style consultants being my mum and sister haha and then everyone else on site normally chips in with their 2 pence)

an Acheson & Glover rep left me in some before xmas (Kilkenny area) but came back to collect them last week as they only have a few..
The rep was female and said she has them cz they are easier to carry around, most of the time its the full size samples they give out.
