Guys

I have two existing concrete drain covers on my drive that I need to replace and set my new paving blocks into but they seem to be an odd size (700mm x 600mm). The only ones I can seem to find are either the standard 600mm x 600mm or the smaller 600mm x 450mm. Any suggestions as to where I might obtain something suitable.

PS: I live in Manchester.

Regards

Would it be possible to reduce the size of the chamber with a reducing ring.
Can't see it from my house

get a local enginering company to cut you a piece off 5mm plate to reduce size and bed the lid on top off it, MSH:)

Guys

Thanks for the replies.

Pablo: Am I able to buy these reducing rings or do they have to be made to order? If they can be purchased, do you know where from?

MSH Paving: If I go with the 5mm plate steel option, do you think these will be strong enough to take the weight of the new drain cover with blocks and then a large family car being constantly driven over them two or three times a day?

iv done it that way often,5mm or 1\4 inch plate is no problem,as is a small area to cover the flex will be minimal in the steel,if you feel the need weld a angle iron stiffiner under the plate, this is the quickest and easy way ,a reducing cover will cost a lot more and need a digger to lift it on MSH :)
