I just had some guys pressure-clean my cobblelock driveway but by the end it was raining and they said I would need to wait for a dry day before topping up the joints with sand. Is that true? They left a bag of sand.

As I'm only topping up is the type of sand critical?

What sort of sand did they leave??

By leaving it, do they hope you will do it and not them??

Will one bag of sand be enough?? I think not!!

The answers are yes and yes. It's vital that it's totally dry and you must use kiln dried sand, sometimes called block paving sand in the DIY shops. Unless it's pretty small, one bag is unlikely to be enough.
