Hi there

Ive just signed up and have read through the majority of this site, its been exceptionally helpful but i still need some help so i was wondering if you could help me or point me in a direction that would be informative

I'm designing a very low trafficked road, well under 1msa which leads into a carpark, again very low trafficked but there will be coaches waiting there (maybe 50 seater) if i were to design a road for this type of (one off stationary) loading how would i go about it?

I feel if I'm on the right path by;
stabilising my clay sub grade, it has a 3% CBR with lime to increase to 8% CBR
include a capping layer, I've selected 210mm Gravel capping with a 75MPa modulus
190mm crushed rock sub-base with 150Mpa modulus
100mm asphalt base, 100pen, 3.5GPa modulus at 20 degrees centigrade
and
30mm thick asphalt surfacing, 2.5GPa modulus at 20 degrees centigrade

I look forward to any responses

Kind Regards

Jack

I wont argue except to say that a pretty big spec for a low trafficked road.

Coaches passing over areas and waiting bays/stops are very hard on surfacing.
