Help please! How do I go about getting a square edge course along a not so square fence. The first two fence panels run square to the garage wall,back towards the drive enterance,but the remaining four panels run out 378mm of square from wall and square line down to the enterance. Laying 200mm soldier course. Any advice would be great. Jim

Could you post a photo a solution would be easier to explain with a visual reference. Problems like this are very common for pavers.

going off what you say, do you mean square to the garage or the fence?
if off the garage use a string line along the back wall from the far back corner running square along the wall then out to where you soldier course is.
if its off the fence then you might have to step in every so often to bring it back in square but a photo would help

Thanks guys,but no can do with a photo at the mo,as camera ended up in the fish tank(don't ask how,kids). So it looks like this, looking up the drive. Garage on left with parking space down the righthand side of it and in front. Have layed edging along the front and down the righthand wall of garage,all square. From righthand wall at the far end is the backgate and a fence panel,again this has been edged all square from left to right. The problem is the fence that runs from backgate to the drive enterance. As I said the first two far end panels are square,ie to backgate/garage wall. But if I carry this square line back to the enterance the fence is 378mm away,like it's gone onto nextdoors land. I know a photo would help, but have any of you got any advice,or do I just edge along the fence line as it is. Many thanks jim.

I thinck the way forward would be edge along the fence line then cut blocks to fit,for a little cutting in.
it will make alot off fiddling around if it runs out that much to make it square,
once paved you wont take notice off it anyway MSH

personally i would go strait along the fence then when it starts to "kick " carry on the line you are laying and put your header course to the fencing obviously string from 1 end to the other not from post to post as even a 5mm diffence will notice
then just cut that "4 bay section" in
hope this helps and i havent pictured it completly wrong in my mind lol
