floor level lights in paving are an absolute nightmare IME ,there is a million things that can go wrong, and they are all underground :(
as for the style ,give the client the brochures and let them browse, after all its their house :)

iv just replaced some driveway lights in a town centre, from marshals they are 700 soff's for 6 way over priced, ive always found let the customer decide i never give any input into colours or patterns because if they don't like it after its finished they chose it not your problem, years ago i suggested a colour for a customer they said ok when job was done did not like it tried to get me to change colour since then iv'e never got involved in colour or design :D

in my area i'm 1 of 3 contractors that put edges first, every one else pins back compacts and chuks some concrete-ish stuff along the edge
iv talked to a few people about they all say its quicker i just cant see how it can be, iv seen lots off jobs like that pic when a car goes over the edge :(

Oddjobber - choosing the most appropriate blocks for any project is not simply a matter of going for what you or I or anyone else likes: it has to suit the property and the tastes of the client.

There's a page on the main site that considers some of these questions. You might find that useful. However, if you want suggestions from the Brew Cabin Irregulars, post some photies of the property and the site, so we know what we're dealing with.
