50.60.or 80mm blocks

i have always preferred to use 60mm blocks rather then 50mm but have now noticed 50mm seems to be the norms offered for sale even by companies like brett.
in the past i found 50mm too easily broke by my wacker and just not upto the job.
the next job i have is to keep my car and and my van next to it, my van weighs 3t but at times can be over 4t.
i was going to use 60mm but do you think 80mm is needed

I'd be leaning towards the 80mm blocks but 60's should be OK - but it the pavement's strength all comes down to what's beneath it and how well it is prepared.............

What van you got running at over 4 ton??

lwb vw transporter dropside and is easily over 4t if i have paving and tools on the back , etc

60mm is my choice.
50 is just not worth using imo for the saving of about a pound a meter. it annoys me how pretty much every builders merchant does not stock 60mm and they have to be ordered. real pain.

Brett say its fine to use 50mm for drives and it probably is, however if you look in the small print of their guarantee it says 50mm are not covered by it if they are used for a driveway........

80mm would be overkill imo. a van of that size should be fine, though i dont like strecher patterns for drives and definately not if they want to park something large on it.
