Hello, first time I've posted so be gentle.....

I've just bought a new house with a pretty steep block pave drive with steps made out of flags to one side. I want to removethe steps and extend the vlock paving to create a wider drive, two cars.

My worry is that in winter we will be at the bottom on our arses.....

Can I build into the driveway a set of steps, out of block paving, going down the centre, between the two cars, probably a foot wide maybe 18 inches?

If so, how would this be done and do you have any examples I could look at?

Thanks in advance.....

yes it can be done. you would have to dig out and retain the two sides of your trench walls made with concrete, or engineering bricks. you would have to trace the services to make sure they arent in line with the steps. i would dig down allowing for a 200 concrete base with mesh in it and starter bars poking up to take the side walls. i will try and find a photo i have some somewhere.
