We are about to pave a driveway which is shared by 10 houses with most houses having a car and with various workment and Tesco delivery vans accessing the driveway regularly. We have a solid concrete base but there isn't enough room for 60mm. We are planning to use the Marshalls drivesett range. I'd appreciate your thoughts on whether 50mm will be sufficient for our use.

They should be ok, but if you can, I'd be happier finding that extra 10mm somewhere, even if it meant creeping-up to only 140mm below DPC

Thanks for the reply Tony but I'm afraid I'm not in the trade and don't know these techie terms. What is DPC? Are you basically saying that I should go for 60mm bricks? I'm worried about the additional costs.

60 mm tegula should be no dearer than 50mm but not everybody stocks it, but you could get a direct load if the job is big enough :D
