hi again lol,
could you check this please for me? used various calculators to check. its just that 5 tonne of type 1 seems a massive amount!!

drive is 25m sq, and im putting a 100mm subbase down, maybe less if it looks solid underneath?, is 5 tonne too much?

and 25m sq, 40mm layer of grit sand, is 2 tonne too much.

i know its better to get too much than not enough, but i dont want mountains of it left over.

thanks again, looking forward to starting it now, when its done i will post before and after pics.

thanks for the reply, i did use them - it just seems a lot 5 tonne of type 1, for 25m sq ???

5 tonnes is a <i>minimum</i>. If you plan on having a 150mm sub-base, you'll need closer to 7½ tonnes
