Sorry for yet another post.
I am going to use tumbled pavers in three sizes on my driveway. My total area is just under 43 m2.
Does anyone have any recommendations on ratios for small, medium and large blocks? My initial thoughts were 1:3:5 (i.e. 4.8m2 of small, 14.3 m2 medium and 23.9m2 of large)?
Also is 5% a reasonable estimate for wastage?

The mix ratio depends on the type/brand of blocks being used, and whether they come pre-mixed or in separate bales.
5% wastage is the industry standard figure, but good contractors tend to keep it closer to 2-3%

Hi Tony,
I am looking to use Pavebloc Tumbled blocks in "Sunset". They are sold by BuildLand in Redditch by the m2 unmixed (ie you can order 1m2 of small, 5 m2 medium etc).
Regarding waste, I will stick with 5% - I have block paved our patio area before, but I certainly don't fall into thw "Good Contractor" level.

hi, i allway keep the small blocks to the miniumin i can, because the pesky things go on for ever,
i would say you figures are about right, dont forget a big block will always make a small one but not the other way around
