Sealing block paving?

hi,
(blocks being laid / plaspave sorrento, colour= carrara stone)

are there any advantages/disadvantages of sealing a block paved driveway?

i was thinking of sealing mine but i dont want a glossy finish, just matt really or something that wont stand out at all.

can you recomend a product, and whats the best way to apply it? roller or brush etc.
