Hi there,
I'm having a new driveway built and have been offered an eaton tumbled block as a cheaper alternative to the marshall's tegula or bradstone woburn rumbled . Can this be taken at face value or is there something i'm missing that makes the marshalls/bradstones worth paying the extra for?

Get samples and make your choice. I think BS Eaton offer the same guarantee as the others. There are cheaper 'tegula'-type products out there that don't look as good as Marshall's so it's always worth looking at 10 or so together. Your contractor shouldn't mind sorting this for you.

Eaton's are well-respected in the English midlands, but their products rarely get much further than 30 miles away from Wolverhampton. Generally speaking, they're a tough old block, but I've never been taken with the colours, which always seems a bit sombre to my eye.

we have been using eaton tumble for the last 5 years and have to say we have never had a problem
well made and decent back up from the manufacturer. I can never understand how marshalls manage to charge us £18.50m2 for tegs and we pay circa £14 for tumble.

Thanks for the replies.
Its the colors I'm having trouble with. I asked for samples of the 2 grey colors and got 2 blocks of almost exactly the same color - i realise that there is variation in the colors and that I've probably been given one darker light grey block and one lighter dark grey block but it doesn't really help us choose between them. I've been unable to find any photos on the web of an Eaton tumble driveway, even Eaton's own brochure gives very little idea of what it will look like.
Does anyone have any photos of finished driveways in the two grey tumble colors? That would be a fantastic help.
Also, technical question - is a 50mm block suitable for parking a people carrier?
