I had Blockleys clay block paving fitted as a patio about a year ago and then about a month ago I had the drive done to match aswell. Whilst I have kept on top of the maintenance of the patio with regular brushing the new drive totally shows it up! The bricks used are the Castleyard range (reds and darks). The patio looks a lot less colourful than the new drive, as though there is a surface film on the top? I have tried cleaning with Jeyes Fluid and washing up liquid with a pressure washer but nothing will give me that new look I am desperately after! I have never used any acid products as I have read nothing but bad things about them. Can anybody recommend me something that will bring them back? The dirt is ingrained into the bricks and without getting down on your hands and knees and cleaning each brick individually I can't find a way or a product!! Also, tyre marks! What a nightmare, is there any product that will remove these safely, without damaging the clay? Thanks.

Lee,
Can you either post or email me a photo of the patio, and I should be able to tell you what to clean it with.

Thanks for the reply.
I haven't got any pics at the moment sorry but all I can say is that the 1 year old paving looks a lot duller than the new paving with like a slight sort of white (ish) film over the entire surface which to the eye makes the colour look like its faded. With the blocks being clay I know they won't fade but the colour is definately being masked by something. The bricks also have dirt ingrained (which I think maybe dried kiln sand) and is almost impossible to remove without individually cleaning each brick! Any ideas?

Bleach. That's all I use to clean the clay pavers in may garden and on my patio.
