Hi all, i'm new to this forum so please go easy on me!!

Can I first say what a brilliant site you have!! Very easy to navigate considering I only recently found it.

I have been searching in the archive info and read the FAQs surrounding efflorescence and am looking for some reassurance. I had my drive bloc-paved done mid february this year and just over the past few weeks have noticed that many of the blocs turning white. The number of blocs is increasing. Most of them are huddled together rather than spread all over the place.

Q's therefore: do I leave the drive alone considering its only been 2 months since the drive went down? and considering the current weather/season it will phase out?

Or should I try shifting the efflorescence firstly (as recommended) by using water and a stiff brush? Or have I just started complaining too early?

What is the recommended solution if any? - anything is welcome news!

Thanks in advance and for your patience... :D

GardenBob, you need not worry. Eff is perfectly normal. It will go in time, but there's no telling when. Removing it will help, but it's not unusual for the process to continue after that.

Thanks Rich H for the reassurance. I shall keep an eye on it and hope the spread doesn't continue.

Will get back soon!!
