Hi can anyone help?

I as a woman of very little gardening knowledge but with a partner who is very able when it comes to building etc, decided I wanted a circular path in our garden with the grass in the middle.

He has said this would be very difficult to do because a square peg doesn't fit in a round hole. Meaning that there would be lots of gaps to fill with lots of cutting if you wanted it to look any good and he wasn't prepared to do a time consuming job like that as the circular path is going to be quite big.

I would like to know is it really that difficult, because he did admit he is not a garden landscape or can you buy special slabs or anything similar that will make it less time consuming or will it end up being very expensive?

eh!?
find the centre of your circle,put a lamp iron in
then use a tape measure and some road spray mark a circle 1 person holding the tape at the centre the other 1 at the perimeter
and certain slabs can be bought individually as circles,stonemarket millstone definately do a 2.76m diameter circle

What is the width of the path you have in mind? And the diameter of the circle?

The larger the circle, the less cutting will be required....

OK sweetheart, aim for the cojones, fire. Next establish a beginnning and an end to the circular path. Call me and I will do my best to give you a lovely feature. As said, the bigger the circle the easier the cutting. Seriously, get him off the sofa and tell him you're too good to brush off.
