Hi new to this but what sort of guarantee should i be given on my new driveway.
I was looking at concrete pavers, fairly flat ground,1 manhole.
do guarantees differ with the job?
Any help much appreciated

Varies from contractor to contractor, ranging from "it'll last until the cheque clears" all the way up to insurance-backed 10 year materials and workmanship guarantees.

Most decent contractors offer (or imply) a 3-5 year guarantee, but you should get summat in writing.

Generally give 7 year guarantees - but this specifically excludes customer damage - (Scuffing, power steering turning on the spot, for starters.)

Depends on what you are having done, spec for the job, etc Are vehicles going to use it, ie 7 ton lorries etc. All would carry the usual caveats, ie user damage, earth quake etc:p
general builder, maintenance engineer, gas and plumbing installations, extensions etc
