I am looking at having the driveway blocked paved with either marshall drivesett tegula or armstrong beamish cobbles. The driveway slopes for about 6 metres and I want to run some steps down between the drive and the front lawn for when the drive is slippery in winter. Can you suggest the best way to edge both sides of the steps and what to use for the risers. I want to have the steps matching the driveway. Which blocks would be best for both applications.

Marshalls have a drivesett square-edge kerb which they recommend for risers. Either that or have the risers match the house (brick/render/etc.). For the treads just use the same blocks as for the drive, laid on muck instead of sand.
