Is there a knack to laying this tegula paving every time I start a new line i spend 5 minutes going through each block until the joints are staggered and the spacers arent touching. Im doing somet wrong and its pi55ing me off. I just want to bang em down. are you meant to have cuts on both sides as this is easier to lay but more time consuming? Im missing somet? yes it could be a brain!!! i need help!! and not psychiatric.

you are using the 3 sizes yeah?
after a while it just kinda flows
no straight joints and no patterns normally
BTW some years ago i started a limited company and i wanted to call it "bodget and scarpa LTD" the accountant wouldnt let me do it for some strange reason
also working in london I saw "patel builders" you have had the cowboys now try the indians
lol

go and have a few pints and go back in the morning with a fresh outlook
if the job has got you that twisted you need to unwind before you can get into the groove

Firstly, Eaton's tumbled blocks are NOT Tegula blocks. Tegula is a protected brand name and can only be used by licensees that have paid a LOT of money for the privilege. The Eaton offering is actually referred to as "Tumblestone".
Eaton's are a bloody strange company. Like Plasmor, they keep threatening to come and talk to me, and then they never do. Nothing dispirits me more than manufacturers making empty promises. If they can't pick up the phone for a chat, why should I advise on the laying of their products?
Anyway, the Eaton Tumblestones can be laid in broken bond courses quite simply if you start off as follows....
Incidentally, as part of a recent review of paving-relevant websites that is yet to be published, I found that Eaton's site made Marshalls' seem fast and efficient. Three minutes of meaningless photies looping around ad nauseam before they reveal they don't actually have a fecking website!
