Just had 4500 Baggeridge Blue Diamond clay pavers laid. Laying is horizontal lines across width of garage forecourt.
Pavers have a diamond impression - bit like a tyre. Contractor
seems concerned spalling might occur when they are wacked
for first time even with plate attached.
They've been laid on pre-existing old mortar base with sand
laid on top. Forecourt has natural slope for drainage. Would you advise putting some form of protective sheet over the pavers before wacking? I do have some thick canvass type material.
