Please could you help... Next door are having their drive paved, they have asked to come onto our land to cover a small muddy patch and meet our driveway. I have said yes but have since been worrying they have not been clear on what they expect to happen when we finally get round to having our wall built / are we giving up ownership of that part of land (although small - maybe 30 cm). Im worried about when we resell would it cause us any probs and basically asking what you would do...?

Go back and talk it over with them. They cannot do a legal land grab without you signing deeds over to them.

I'd strongly recommend a written agreement wherein you allow them to pave a small part of your land, at their own expense, but state categorically that your rights to the land remain unaffected, that they have no claim to ownership, but they accept liability for any damage or incident arising from the paving over of the land.

i would put a string line up for the boundary and ask them to keep 100mm inside that
a can of worms if they pave a bit of your drive
