You will need to have an online copy of the image.
I use flickr
When you have uploaded your photos you can click on each one and select the sizing you wish to 'publish'. Then when you have found the right size you can copy the URL of the jpg from near the bottom of that flickr web page.
Once you have that URL you can wrap it with the IMG tags (or use the [image] button in the forum 'editor'
{IMG}http://http://farm1.static.flickr.com/2 ... b.jpg{/IMG}
However, use [ and ] rather than { and }

i use imageshack.us
save your photo to my documents on your pc,try and make it 640 by 480 resolution and whatever you call it say "patio" save it as "patio.jpg"
then go to imageshack and click on the browse tab,go through your folders till you find the one marked "patio " and click on it.
then click on "host it" to upload the image
which imageshack will then do
the very last one in a list of formats is the one you want "direct link to image"
right click on this and click copy
then come back to this forum and write your message,when you get to the bit for the picture click on the "http://" tab above and then right click and click on "paste"
nearly there,
then where it says "my webpage"insert your own text
and click enter
job done
seems complicated but once you have done 1 its easy,remember to resize to 640 by480
any chance of a sticky on this one tony,as the question seems to arise frequently?
cheers LLL

I thought there was an existing HELP file on posting images, but it doesn't seem to be there. I know that I wrote such a help file about 4 years ago when I upgraded from the previous version of The Brew Cabin, so what's happened to it I don't know.
I'll look into it.

Hi tony, I had a look in the help files, tried searching images, photos, pictures but to no avail. quick question, can i use ballast (from B&Q ) as the "type 1" for my path? (1.2M wide x 7.5M long)
Regards, wildbill.

Ballast? Not really. It's a random mix of sand and gravel rather than a specific blend of particular particle sizes.
It'd be better than nowt (just) but nowhere near as good as genuine Type 1, or even a 50mm crusher run.
